Beautiful Conservatory Conversion

Traditional Edwardian T-Shape Conservatory in Ripon North Yorkshire

Conservatory insulations recently insulated Mr & Mrs J’s beautiful Edwardian T Shape conservatory, situated in Ripon in the North Yorkshire countryside. Like many of our customers, their conservatory was too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. So what do the before and after conservatory conversion images look like? To stay in line with the traditional aesthetic of the home, the customer wished to maintain the original green batons throughout the conservatory. With this in mind, our expert fitting team were very precise when measuring and cutting the individual boards, ensuring the flowlines of each of the many joints lined up perfectly with the conservatories original form. This allowed us to effectively insulate the customers conservatory without taking away from it’s traditional, Edwardian style.

Attention to detail!

There were also two sky lights in the conservatory which the customer wished to maintain. This would allow them to use the original roof vents to create extra air flow through their conservatory. This wasn’t a problem for our fitting team, the customer can now enjoy their newly insulated conservatory while still allowing that natural light to wash in over the rear end of the conservatory.

The installation process is pretty straight forward with the fitting team always following our standard installation procedure as documented in our ISO 9001:2015 documentation. The team will review the conservatory ceiling before beginning to measure and cut materials. Installing a subframe before adding the unique conservaheat insulation. A second subframe is then installed to ensure a clear flow of air to help prevent condensation between the insulation and our IFB board. Next they install our bespoke IFB board to the ceiling subframe, this unique product reflects 90% of light back into the conservatory to keep the conservatory bright and airy. Next they clean down and tidy. That’s it, a perfect conservatory roof insulated.

Insulated Ceiling

The customers thermometer on the wall in the conservatory was a true testament to the effectiveness of Conservatory Insulations C.H.R.I.S.® System including our high performance MultiFoil insulation with a built in vapour control layer. As you can see the temperature in the conservatory was sitting at a nice, cool 19 degrees even though it was 30 degrees outside during the recent heatwave that has swept across the UK. I’m sure even the goldfish in the conservatory were happy with their newly insulated home.

In less than a day, our expert fitting team transformed this already stunning conservatory into a room that can now be enjoyed and appreciated all year round, whether it’s a frosty morning in the winter or it’s a beautiful hot day during the height of summer.

Excellent System

After a friend had her conservatory roof covered, she recommended Conservatory Insulations. I made enquiries about the C.H.R.I.S. system as I was unable to use the conservatory during the day with the heat. George Hutton called and explained, showing how the system worked.
