A cosy insulated conservatory for a charming home in the Devon countryside
Conservatory insulations recently insulated this wonderful, cosy conservatory in the quaint, countryside hamlet of Smallridge in Devon. A house proud family who designed and built their thatch roofed home themselves several years back wanted to reclaim their conservatory from the general problems that all of our customers encounter with their original conservatory roof. Too hot in the summer, freezing cold in the winter, loud in the rain, the list goes on. The conservatory looks out over a beautiful, lush garden where you can hear the gentle stream water running along side the property. So it only made sense that they wanted to make more use of this beautiful conservatory.
The Conservatory
The conservatory is large, gable end with plenty of character. Set up as both a living and dining area Mrs H wanted to be able to use the space year round with her family, whatever the weather. While the conservatory already has plenty of light coming in through the tall surrounding windows, this combined with our exclusive, specialist designed internal finish board which has been scientifically proven to reflect 90% of natural light results in a bright living space for Mrs H and her family to enjoy. The addition of spot lights running parallel along two of the boards gives the conservatory a modern twist and are perfect for cosy evenings sat in the conservatory looking out over the Smallridge countryside.
It’s the small details that make the difference
The conservatory has a small flat section that serves as an entrance in to the conservatory and separates the conservatory from the kitchen area in the home. Our surveyor made sure to include this section in his design to keep the conservatories sleek new design running through the entirety of the newly insulated conservatory, again including a few spot lights to maintain that light through the conservatory in to the evenings. Our expert installers take precise measurements when the conservatory meets a curved wall such as this to ensure the insulated ceiling perfectly follows the unusual lines that add so much character to this already beautiful conservatory.
